Frequently Asked Questions
WHY DOES CHARGING SLOW DOWN WHEN THE BATTERY IS NEAR FULL?
This is normal. To prevent overcharging, charges switch from rapid charge to trickle charge when the battery is nearly full.
WHY IS THE TIME TO EMPTY SO SHORT?
WHY DOES THE BATTERY APP SHOW I ONLY HAVE LESS THAN 4 HOURS LEFT?
The Battery app uses an average of usage since the last charge recorded. If you have been using the iPhone heavily, e.g. playing a graphics intensive game, the Time To Empty is calculated based on your heavy usage.
WHY IS THE TIME TO EMPTY SO LONG?
WHY DOES THE BATTERY APP SHOW I HAVE MORE THAN 300 HOURS LEFT?
Typical standby time for the iPhone and iPod Touch is more than 300 hours.
TIPS ON GETTING THE MOST ACCURATE TIME TO EMPTY
1.Launch the Battery app at least once during a charge cycle.
2.Launch the Battery app multiple times during a discharge cycle and when the battery level has changed from the last time you launched it.
3.The more often you use the Battery app, the more accurate it is.
HOW ARE THE TIMES TO EMPTY AND TIMES TO FULL CALCULATED?
The Battery app takes an average of the times it takes to go from one battery level to another and uses that to project the time it will take to go to full or to empty (5%) of charge.
